It has been another bumper year for The Albion High School, where 43% of students achieved five or more higher grades including English and Maths.
The star of the show was Marie Grace Nkeshimana who achieved 21 higher level passes including 10 A* grades and seven A Grades.
During her time at The Albion High School Marie Grace has achieved a young citizens award from the Swinton Rotary Club, she has been a student ambassador, a Peer mentor, a young volunteer and a member of the schools Young Enterprise team, who reached the regional finals. Marie Grace who also sat on the board for the school council said “I cannot believe it! I have really enjoyed my time at The Albion and I would like to thank all my teachers for all their support”.
Head teacher Mr Steve Aveyard said “Once again students and staff have achieved our best-ever results, through their hard work and determination. We are very pleased to see our young people making a great start to their career during these difficult times”.
Mrs Diane Wood, Head of Upper School, said “Our school motto is ‘Aiming high, achieving excellence’ and these young people have shown how true that is”.
